(Cont. from Page 18/11/88). CONCERNING THE CHRISTMAS REBELLION. Christmas is solely a commercial institution celebrated by the will of the people for the promotion of materialistic gain and loose conduct. It is especially advocated by those whom Jehovah describes as "goatlike leaders of the earth". (Isaiah 14:9). Although people sinfully associate the name of our Lord Jesus Christ with Christmas, such festivities are merely for personal self-gratification. What these man-made festivities promote is condemned by Jehovah God and His Son the Christ Michael, and therefore by all true servants of God. (Luke 21:34,35. Gal 5:19-21). Also condemned are the sects of Christendom, for they have deviated from the faith and teach the commands of men as doctrine, promoting the annual pagan facade they call 'the season of good will'. (1 Tim 6:3-5. Matt 15:8,9. Titus 3:9,10) (Isaiah 29:1). Good will is not a quality that can be turned on and off at prescribed times to suit commerce. When on earth, our Lord Jesus Christ provided the "Way of Holiness" for mankind to follow all year round, and instituted a "new covenant" by virtue of his blood for a heavenly kingdom of priests and kings. (Rev 5:9,10. Isaiah 35:8). Only this was to be annually commemorated, scrutinizing one's behaviour over the past year before attending. The Christ instructed that his death is what should be annually celebrated. He did not instruct us to celebrate his earthly birth. (1 Cor 11:23-29. Luke 22:15-20). We are required to bring to memory the meaning of The Christ's earthly life and sacrificial death and the details of the requirements of the "new covenant" until he arrives in glory. (Matt 24:29-31).
'THE SEASON OF GOOD WILL' AMONG REBELLIOUS ONES.
THE VISUAL AND PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION OF Instead, young minds should be taught how to live according to the Spirit of God, spiritually growing to become a "new creation" of God toward an inheritance of everlasting life in a new spirit "body" after the death of their physical one. (Gal 6:15,16. 1 Cor 15:44-49). The reason why "goatlike leaders of the earth" actively promote the commercial hypocrisy of Christmas against the Spirit of God is that by creating demand for material things they can continue "driving [others] to work" for them. But "goatlike leaders" are destined to become "impotent in death". (Isaiah 14:4,9). This means that at death they will not be resurrected to everlasting spirit life in paradise, but will die the "second death", everlasting death. (Rev 21:8. 20:11-15. 2:11). 1/12/88. |
