Mankind is sometimes likened to seas, boisterous at times, at other times calm. Demon angel princes have exercised evil influence at certain times in man's history to bring about changes for a specific purpose. In this regard, I quote Daniel 10:13,14: "But the angel prince of the kingdom of Persia resisted me for twenty-one days, and then, seeing that I had held out there, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me against the prince of the kingdom of Persia. And I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in days to come; for this too is a vision for those days." (NEB). It is important to note that:

(1) In Chapters 11 and 12 of the book of Daniel there are both physical and spiritual fulfilments
      of the prophecy now taking place in the "time of the end". (11:21,22 NEB).

(2) That heavenly angels of God are in conflict with demon angel princes, including those
      of Persia (10:13 NEB) and Greece (10:20 to 11:1 NEB).

(3) That the 'fourth king' (Dan 11:2) and the "contemptible creature" are human. (11:21 NEB).

(4) That the "disgusting thing" (NWT), also called the "appalling abomination" (Moffatt) or "abominable thing" (NEB) is a spirit rebellion by apostates within Christ's congregations to usurp the authority of Spirit anointed brothers of The Christ Michael and to appropriate their congregational responsibilities. (11:31). (See book: 'The Signal'. Appendix: The Final Rebellion).

AT THE "TIME OF THE END".
Besides having contempt for the Shah, this demon angel prince proved contemptuous of God and the high priest of the covenant of God, The Christ Michael. (11:22 NEB). The angel prince of Persia inspired the "contemptible creature" Khomeini. He came to power through a populist revolt against the monarchy of the king of Persia, seizing that kingdom by dissimulation and intrigue in time of peace, though not given recognition as king. (11:21 NEB). Khomeini's seizure of the kingdom took place when millions of Iranians throughout the main towns and cities subjected themselves to his demonically inspired will, and on Friday January 19^th 1979 demonstrated against their king. The Shah Pahlavi was Persia's fourth king.

January 19^th 1979 was also the end of the 2,300 evenings and mornings of Daniel 8:13,14 (NEB). Following this period, the remainder of "these things will come to their finish". (12:7 NWT). The evil influence of the demon angel prince over Persia (Iranians) was certainly effective, and revealed their demonic spirit aspect in the "time of the end" of this system of things. Khomeini is a "warrior king" without kingly recognition, and is at war with other nations. (11:24).

Persia was the "king of the North" and Egypt the "king of the South" at the time Daniel received the prophecy. But while today it helps us to know this, we now understand the meaning of the symbolic "kings" of the "North" and "South" in a far greater way; for the vision is concerning "your people in days to come, for this too is a vision for those days." (10:14 NEB).

*A "WARRIOR KING" OF DANIEL 11:3 NEB.
(1) "All will go well for him until the time of wrath ends". (11:36 NEB).
(2) "And he will certainly prove successful until [the] denunciation will have come to a finish".
      (NWT).
(3) "…he shall prosper till the wrath Divine has run its course". (Moffatt).

KHOMEINI IS DYING
(A demonic instrument of contempt against the covenant of God).
Now that Khomeini has been made weak and his kingdom "shattered" by war, "It will not pass to his descendants, nor will any of his successors have an empire like his". (11:4 NEB). His legacy has been the Islamic revolution under the demon angel prince of Persia; until, that is, Michael stands up. (12:1).
