THE MEANING OF THE TWO
SYMBOLIC WILDERNESSES.

The wilderness prophesied to occur in "Edom" will be as a result of its desolation by God, symbolized by the kinds of animals that frequent deserted places. (34:11-15). Isaiah Chapter 34 reveals:

(1) The desolation of "Edomite" enemies of the "new covenant" of Zion by His Christ. (34:8).
(2) That when anointed sons of Zion receive a vision by the Spirit of God, they must
      search for its "mate" in the book of Jehovah to fully understand its meaning. (34:16).
(3) As "Edomite" natures are destroyed by the Spirit of the Lord's Judgement (34:5-10),
      their "land" will become a wilderness, symbolized by "thorns", "nettles", and
     "haunters of waterless regions" settling there. (34:13,14). Then Jehovah will
      bring in the next chapter:

As Jehovah pours out His Spirit upon His beloved people, righteousness, justice and peace will blossom as sons of Zion emerge from their "wilderness" condition with new Spirit knowledge that was "fed" to anointed sons of God while in the "wilderness". (35:1-10. 32:15-18). It was after the prophesied persecution and ostracism of anointed sons of God at the hands of "Edomite" natures that they began to be spiritually "fed" by God's heavenly "woman". (See Rev 12:6 & 13,14). After which they were told to: "Come on up here". (Rev 11:12).

When the last anointed sons of God and future kings of God's heavenly Kingdom were sent into a spiritual "wilderness", Spirit knowledge of God was not sought from them by mankind during this period. (Rev 5:9,10). They certainly were not viewed in any exalted sense, nor were their sons, the future "princes" of the "new earth". (32:1,2). In fact, their lives and spiritual revelations were ignored. But the torrent of spiritual "waters" they received from God in the form of denunciations against "Edomites" in God's spiritual "land" will become as "burning pitch" to those whose rebellious natures have the inclinations of Esau. (34:9,10).

Jehovah has said: "Search for yourselves in the book of Jehovah and read out loud: not one has been missing of them; they actually do not fail to have each one her mate, for it is the mouth of Jehovah that has given the command, and it is His Spirit that has collected them together." (34:16). These are the correct understandings of prophecies and their fulfilment, and the scriptures denoting their correct association. It signifies that while anointed ones were in the spiritual "wilderness" (a place of isolation away from evil influences), they were taught by visions from God and Spirit teaching received from God's heavenly "woman" by His Word.

AFTER THE DESTRUCTION OF
"EDOMITE" NATURES IN THE "LAND".
Only after anointed members of the heavenly "woman" of God are exalted to heaven will they rejoice in their former "wilderness" condition: "There will be those who will see the glory of Jehovah, the splendour of our God." (35:2). This "wilderness" will blossom in the manner of the wilderness of John the Baptist through a renewed call to repentance and baptism in The Christ for one's redemption. (35:10). What was revealed by Spirit in the "wilderness" in this last generation was written up in the "Little Scroll". These spiritual teachings will be administered by the heavenly "woman" of God to those redeemed by Jehovah. (35:10).

SPIRIT KNOWLEDGE FROM THE
"WILDERNESS" IS THE "WAY OF HOLINESS".
"For in the wilderness waters will have burst out, and torrents in the desert plain." (35:6). These "waters" are Spirit knowledge from God for the "new earth". "And there will certainly come to be a highway there, even a way; and the Way of Holiness it will be called". (35:8). But foolish, wild and spiritually unclean persons will not be found there (symbolized by wild animals. 35:9). It shall only be for those redeemed by Jehovah and "walking on the way" toward holiness. They will return to Zion in triumph, to their rightful place in new congregations by The Christ, and will teach mankind what happened to "Edomites" who misused the Word of God to teach "lying signs and portents". (See 33:10-14). (2 Esdras 9:9-12 NEB. 2 Thess 2:8-10).
