THE "GIFT". "At that time tribute shall be brought to the Lord of Hosts from a people tall and smooth-skinned, dreaded near and far, a nation strong and proud, whose land is scoured by rivers. They shall bring it to Mount Zion, the place where men invoke the name of the Lord of Hosts." (Isaiah 18:7 NEB). This tribute (or "gift". NWT) are spirit offerings from Ethiopians (Cushites) and people of allied nations in subjection to God. Jehovah still continues in His sacrificing of the three prophesied national groups: Egypt, Ethiopia and the allied nations of East Africa (Seba). (Isaiah 43:1-4) (Ezek 30:5 NEB). Jehovah has prophesied that He will sacrifice many lives until this "gift" (tribute) is offered by every nation on earth. For: "From every nation they shall bring your countrymen on horses, in chariots and wagons, on mules and dromedaries, as an offering to the Lord, on My holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, as the Israelites bring offerings in pure vessels to the Lord's house". (Isaiah 66:20 NEB). Jehovah only accepts clean gifts, namely spirit sanctified ones, and those being similarly subjected through these spirit sanctified anointed sons of "Mount Zion". He has prophesied that Egyptians, Ethiopians, and Sabaeans will be sacrificed as the price of gathering back His sons. As inhabitants of other nations witness this, they will "tremble for [their] own fate from moment to moment" as He brandishes His sword in the faces of their kings. (Ezek 32:10 NEB).
