Then Augustine goes on to say: 'But God, who is supremely good in his creation of natures that are good, is also completely just in his employment of evil choices in his design, so that whereas such evil choices make a wrong use of good natures, God turns evil choices to good use. Thus when the devil, who was good as God created him, became bad by his own choice, God caused him to be cast down to a lower station and to become a derision to the angels of God; and this means that the devil's temptations prove to be for the benefit of God's saints, though the devil longs to injure them thereby...In the very creation of the devil, though by God's goodness he was made in a state of good, God had already, in virtue of his foreknowledge, laid plans for making good use of him even in his evil state...' (From the book 'City Of God' by Augustine Bk. XI Ch.17. Underlining is by this author).

I agree. For the above is of benefit to this author to make known by means of questions and answers some of the understandings of Revelation 11:1-3; that in like manner, God foreknew His created angel would withdraw from Him and become satan, that Adam and Eve would sin, that apostates would "trample" on His "temple" sons. To help you find out whether 'by an act of will' you are a member of the "disgusting thing" in fulfilment of Matthew 24:15, read the following:

Question (1) What happened that markedly changed those servants who were within "THE COURTYARD"
                      of the sanctuary of God the moment the time had arrived for the prophesied 3½ years of
                      "TRAMPLING" to begin? (See Rev 11:2). ("Trampling": To treat with contempt, to domineer).

Question (2) Those servants of the nations who were of "THE COURTYARD" (the spirit place near to the
                      spiritual "temple" sons of God) were cast clear out by God. What does this mean?

Question (3) Those of the "TEMPLE" fled into the "WILDERNESS" to be fed, during the 3½ years of
                      "TRAMPLING". What does the "WILDERNESS" mean symbolically?

Question (4) When did the "BITTER" prophesyings of the "LITTLE SCROLL" begin,
                      while the sons of God were in a "SACKCLOTH" condition?

Question (5) What will happen to those who were of the "COURTYARD" but who were cast clear out,
                      those whom God knew would "trample" on His sons?

THE ANSWERS:
Answer (1) They began showing contempt and domineered over the sons of the "temple" of God on earth and
                    in heaven, doing so by 'AN ACT OF WILL', shifting their responsibilities and  disfellowshipping
                    them. They then stood in authority as so-called 'elders' in the holy place themselves.

Answer (2) That these people would no longer receive life-giving teachings from God in their spirit,
                    given through His "temple" sons, only bitter prophesyings from God in the prophesied
                    "LITTLE SCROLL" of Revelation Ch.10.

Answer (3) It means to live in a spiritually uncultivated and uninhabited "land",
                    to be fed by Spirit the things of the Spirit, from the heavenly "woman" of God.

Answer (4) A few years after the final "trampling" began, from the 14th December 1976.

Answer (5) They are no longer measured-in as saved ones (to inherit life in the heavenly "courtyard" of God).
                    God foreknew of their decline and their contempt for the last members of God's "temple" slaves.
                    He knew that these enemies, left to their own will, would "trample" on (domineer) God's
                    anointed sons of the "temple".
