WE ARE NOW IN THE PERIOD OF THE CHRIST'S DELAY BEFORE HIS ARRIVAL. (Matthew 25:1-12. Revelation 10:6).

When Jesus lived on earth, priests of Israel did not officiate at wedding ceremonies. But on a prearranged day, the bridegroom would leave his house and make his way to the home of the bride's parents, escorted by his friends. From there the bridal procession returned to the home of the bridegroom. Our Lord Jesus had knowledge of the weddings and customs of that time, that a bridegroom might spend considerable time at his home before arriving at the bride's home, perhaps delaying until the late evening, and that virgin companions of the bride waiting along the route could well become drowsy and fall asleep, as in Jesus' illustration in Matthew 25:1-12.

The delay in Christ's coming to collect his "bride" of 144,000 anointed members of the heavenly "woman" is longer than one would expect to complete the "marriage". (Rev 19:6-9). But when we consider events that fulfil the "trumpet" warnings and the outpouring of the "bowls" of the anger of God prophesied in Revelation, including the penultimate "sounding" of the seventh "trumpet" heralding an earthquake which killed 7,000 men and destroyed a tenth of Mexico City in 1985, we know we are now in that period of delay before The Christ's arrival. (10:7. 11:13). The blowing of the seventh "trumpet" and the outpouring of the seventh "bowl" begin the third "woe" and the Kingdom rule of God by His Christ over all the earth. (11:14-19 & 16:17-21). A third of earth, trees, and vegetation burned up at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. (8:7).
Malignant "ulcer" of nuclear peril upon all worshippers of the "wild beast". (16:2).

"Great mountain burning with fire". (Atomic bomb test 1st July 1946). (8:8).
Poured "into the sea". (Undersea atomic bomb test 25th July 1946). (16:3).

"Wormwood" makes spiritual "waters" deadly bitter to apostates. (8:10,11).
Apostates are given "blood" to drink leading to their deaths. (16:4-7).

Spiritual illumination among mankind diminished by apostasy. (8:12).
"Scorched" in spirit for refusing to repent of their sins and for cursing God.
Mankind scorched with great heat, but refuse to repent of their sins. (16:8,9).

Abyss opened. Origins of dead works of mankind revealed.
Unsealed apostates tormented for five months by anointed "locusts". (9:1-11).
Poured upon throne of the "wild beast". For their pains and ulcers its members
refuse to repent of their works and continue to curse God. (16:10,11).

"Four angels" bound by God to kill a third of mankind in the region of the
great river Euphrates (that flows through Turkey, Syria and Iraq). (9:13-21).
The Euphrates will be dried up causing a drought in that region in
preparation for the "four angels" to kill a third of mankind there. (16:12).

"No delay any longer". "Good news" brought to a finish. (10:6,7). The opened
"Little Scroll" is revealed. (10:8-11). "Earthquake" in the "City": 20/9/85. (11:13).

The kingdom of the world becomes the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.
Rewards given to faithful servants of God. Nations become wrathful. (11:15-18).
"Upon the air". Retribution and judgement upon members of "Babylon the Great". (16:17-21).

The message here is that although all the "virgins" go to "sleep" during the period of The Christ's delayed arrival, heavenly communications of God are given only to those "virgins" who do not spiritually defile themselves with sectarian religions and false teachings. (Rev 14:4,5). Only these "discreet" ones will make up the final number of the "bride" of Christ. During The Christ's delay in coming, foolish "virgins" ignore the last Spirit "oil" provided to see them through this "darkness" to the "Lamb's marriage". (19:6-9). Only half the "virgins" will have enough Spirit left to light their way to the "marriage feast" and enter the spirit glories of the "new heavens" bringing joy to beloved people of God in the "new earth" that anointed members of the "bride" of Christ will share with them. (Isaiah 65:17-19).
