REMOVING OUR "SHACKLES". (52:2 Moffatt).
When, in the fulfilment of His Word, Jehovah tells the "captive daughter of Zion" to "Awake", "Bestir yourself" and "robe yourself with strength!" it means He is giving Spirit strength to His people for them to shake themselves free from "the dust" of the "tomb" of spiritual inactivity, to loosen the "shackles" of restraint. (52:1-3 NEB NWT Moffatt). See Revelation 11:7-12, the scriptural "mate" concerning the "tomb". (Isaiah 34:16).

Wonderful details of His promise to rebuild His "temple" class of faithful anointed members of Mount Zion that were previously thrown down by the "disgusting thing" now "standing in a holy place" (Matt 24:15), is now revealed to His remaining ones. Anointed members of Zion cannot "Awake" until they hear the news of His deliverance calling to Zion: "Your God is King". (52:7-9 NEB. Rev 11:15).

The anointed "sanctuary" class of God, filled with the Spirit of the denunciation of the "seven bowls of the anger of God" described in the "Little Scroll" of bitterness are having this "bowl" taken from them. (Rev 16:1-21. 10:8-11). It will now be given into the hand of our "tormentors and oppressors" who by their deeds did say: "Lie down and we will walk over you". (51:22,23 NEB). It will be given to such rebel spirit enemies of Zion as their Godless neighbours and relatives, political authorities and forces of "Gog", the sectarian "harlot", and the "disgusting thing" "standing in a holy place" who are the "man of lawlessness", and to all their demon occupants. (2 Thess 2:3-12).

The whole world shall see the deliverance of our God and how He gains the victory for Zion. (52:10 NEB Moffatt). Zion will be repurchased without cost to them, in reversal of their ostracism, and will regain their spiritual "land". This retrieval and reinstatement of sanctified people of God does not include spiritually "unclean" ones, for it is written: "And there shall be a causeway there which shall be called the Way of Holiness, and the unclean shall not pass along it... By it those He has ransomed shall return and the Lord's redeemed come home". (35:8,9 NEB). The Lord's command is to "put on your loveliest garments, Holy City of Jerusalem". These are righteous "garments", the "fruitage" of obedience to the Spirit laws of God for our salvation. (52:1 NEB).

This "good news" of deliverance of God's beloved people will be heralded by His "watchmen" who will spiritually "see" the Lord returning in pity to Zion and will know "Your God has become King!" (52:7-9 NEB NWT). Anointed members of Zion have received His Spirit assurance that their "wilderness" condition will be turned into "an Eden" after they are released from their death-like spirit inactivity in "Sodom and Egypt" and "Come on up here." (51:3 NEB. Rev 11:8-12).

The Lord God says: "Now is the time: I will beckon to the nations and hoist a signal to the peoples, and they shall bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders". (49:22 NEB). Those ostracised for Christ's sake are "sons" and "daughters" of spiritual Mount Zion.
