THE "TWO WITNESSES" OF GOD
IN THE "TIME OF THE END".

"But as for the courtyard that is outside the temple [sanctuary], cast it clear out and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations, and they will trample the Holy City underfoot for forty-two months. And I will cause my two witnesses to prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days dressed in sackcloth." (Rev 11:2,3).

It is important to understand that these "two witnesses" of God prophesied by Holy Spirit while in a "sackcloth" condition for a specific period of 1,260 days. This was because Spirit anointed witnesses of the Holy City of God on earth, while receiving Spirit instructions through the heavenly witness, The Christ Michael, would be "trampled" on by people of the nations. (11:2). The "sackcloth" condition of these anointed witnesses of God came about because it was the appointed time for covenant-leavers and unsealed men to be revealed and judged according to their evil deeds and demonic expressions. When warnings and spirit corrections from God through His "two witnesses" were issued to these enemies of God, it tested their lack of integrity and exposed their true spirit disposition. (Rev 9:3-6). Unsealed men falsely claiming to be spiritual "Jews" by usurping their responsibilities, and those called but not chosen for having betrayed their anointed brothers, are all guilty of having "trampled" on the "Holy City", and are cast out, losing their hold on everlasting life. (11:1,2.  Rev 3:9.  Matt 22:14 RSV).

From the instant faithful anointed ones began to administer Spirit corrections in relation to activities that our Lord disapproved of, it aroused great anger in those in need of correction. They viewed these holy teachings as torments, and began their "trampling" work in the "courtyard" of the "Holy City". (11:10B). It certainly revealed these enemies of God in congregations of those falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. Faithful anointed ones were despised by all members of JW congregations and suffered deeds of contempt and ostracism for their efforts. By the self-appointments of unsealed men (the "disgusting thing") at that time, they stood up in positions of authority in place of anointed ones and thereby removed the "constant feature" Holy Spirit that had only just commenced its final spirit creative work in these congregations. (Matt 24:15. See Page 849 and the "appointed times of the nations"). As to the liars who declared themselves anointed ones but who used unsealed men (the "disgusting thing") to carry out the "trampling" work upon members of the Holy City through the demonic new 'elder' arrangement, their destiny is described in Revelation 3:9-11 and 21:27. Those who mistreat anointed brothers of The Christ, mistreat him also. (Matt 25:41-46).

The apostates sent "gifts" to one another, symbolically signifying their approval of the removal of anointed ones. But Spirit of life from God Himself entered into His anointed sons, which said: "Come on up here"     after which, they were able to reveal additional heavenly knowledge. When our enemies beheld this, "in that hour a great earthquake occurred", and a tenth of those once called to become members of the Holy City of God but who then apostatized, fell. (11:11-13. Matt 22:14 RSV).

With great eagerness we await the next and greatest event of all, the blowing of the seventh "trumpet". For then the kingdom of the world will become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and servants of God will be recompensed for their faithfulness amidst contemptuous hatred at the hands of jealous men and women. (Rev 11:15-18).

TRAMPLE: Figuratively, to domineer over and treat with contempt.
