OF SATAN'S GOG OF MAGOG,
AND THE HOUSE OF "ISRAEL".
(From Ezekiel Ch.37 to 39 NWT & NEB).

THEIR AND OUR REVERSALS, AND THE TWO CONGREGATIONS.
Meshech means, 'a drawing out, or skinning'. It is the name Almighty God is using to make clear to His people His decision to expose warring people of Gog (satan's 'house, of a house'). To strip or withdraw skin (Meshech) is the same in meaning as to flay (censure). The reverse in meaning is of course to overlay skin, as in the promise of God to the whole house of "Israel". (37:5,6,11,14). Another reversal is that Gog and his crowd will no longer be able to spoil and plunder God's people. (38:12 to 39:10). For Jehovah will save "Israel" from all former "dwelling places"* of spirit uncleanness and the apostasy of congregations that have sinned. Jehovah will "cleanse them" (sanctify them) back to life. (37:23). But Gog and his crowd are assigned a burial place outside the spiritual land of "Israel". (39:11 NEB).

Having formerly been spiritually inactive ("killed"), it was only after God had brought His people up out of their "burial places" by the new Spirit that He had breathed into them that they as a house of spiritual "Israel" began to see the spirit of uncleanness in the "land" (hence the need for new "bodies"). But while becoming a new (spiritual) house, they still lived among the nations in the flesh. (36:26. 37:9. Rev 11:7-9). It was while in their spiritually inactive state that they said: "our hope has perished. We have been severed off to ourselves." (37:11). This severing off was the 'killing' of Revelation 11:7-9, and occurred because of the spirit corruption of apostate covenant leavers in the "land". But Jehovah has said: "I will hallow My Great Name, which has been profaned among those nations. When they see that I reveal My holiness through you, the nations will know that I am the Lord". (36:23 NEB). The revealing of His holy teachings through faithful anointed ones to sanctify them began after the severing off period (during "tribulation ten days" (years) between Dec 1st 1971 and Nov 30th 1981) for those who had waited in obedient expectation to the end of the 1,335 days and "come to life". (37:9). (Dan 12:12. Rev 2:10). But Gog knew faithful anointed members of spiritual "Israel" were dwelling in the security of holy teachings breathed into them from Jehovah, and sent his "great congregation" of apostates against them. (38:15).

It was then that God began to "speak" in His rage "with pestilence and with blood; and a flooding downpour and hailstones" (38:22) through the "Little Scroll". (See Subject Index for His denunciations). To His spirit enemies Jehovah has prophesied: "On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your bands and the peoples that will be with you" ("mountains of Israel": Faithful anointed ones. 39:4). The spirit "fire" of Ezekiel 38:18,19 from God are His condemnatory judgements against the perpetrators of apostate lawlessness in congregations (houses) of Gog revealed and denounced by the "Little Scroll" of bitterness. "They see that I reveal My holiness through you". (36:23 NEB). Jehovah will send spirit "fire" upon all the agencies of Gog's warring, all houses of Gog (Magog), even those dwelling undisturbed in supposed security. (39:6). I have made my report concerning those defiling the "temple". (Ezek 9:7,11). The "very, very great military force" of the house of "Israel" (37:10) is now gathered together in readiness for Gog's final onslaught against them by Gog's "great congregation". (38:7,15). We will now plunder and make spoil of the spoilers. (39:10 NEB).

LEADERS OF THE HOME OF GOG (MAGOG).
These leaders are enemies of God who are being brought forth against God's beloved people ("His spiritual land"). They have always existed in communities and inspire others to war similarly. They are described as "steep ways", "mountains" and "walls" that will be thrown down, for they have the "sword" of God called forth against them. (38:20,21). Are you one of them?
