"THEREFORE BY THIS MEANS THE ERROR OF
JACOB WILL BE ATONED FOR". (Isaiah 27:9).
HOW "JACOB" IS ATONED FOR.
God has promised to slay the "dragon"
satan who is in among the "sea" of mankind. (27:1). But not in the way
that satan spiritually 'killed' sons of "Jacob". (27:7. Rev 11:7,8).
The "scare cry" from Zion is a warning of an imminent "blast" from Almighty God,
and serves as a faith-building indicator to faithful sons of "Jacob" that He
will fulfil this prophecy from His Holy Word. (27:8). The "fortified
city" are apostate congregations of "briars" and "thorns" that God has said He
would wage war upon and "burn" up. (27:4
NEB).
When one man was killed and seventy injured in a blast at a congregation in
Sydney Australia on July 21st 1985, such apostate gatherings of the
"disgusting thing" of JWs were served notice by this "scare cry" from Zion.
(Matt 24:15).

This "scare
cry" also served notice that Jehovah will no longer receive spirit "sacrifices"
upon His spiritual "altar" from those guilty of apostasy. The error of "Jacob"
will be atoned for when all apostates have been removed from His spiritual
"land" as it is written: "Yet only when they grind to dust their pagan
altar-stones, and never raise again their sacred poles and pillars, shall Israel
have their guilt forgiven for
so their penitence (atonement) must work."
(27:9 Moffatt). When apostates of the "fortified city" have been
removed and their "city" "abandoned like a wilderness"
(27:10), Jehovah will gather those of His beloved people
"lost in Assyria" and "dispersed in Egypt" to worship Him in Jerusalem.

When the error of anointed sons of "Jacob" has been atoned for, "all the fruit"
of His spiritual "altar" have been gathered.
"No mercy"
(27:11) was clearly evident at the apostate gathering of JWs in
Australia, when one of the "stones" officiating at their "altar"
was pulverized by Jehovah. This "blast" signalled that no baalists or their
worshippers will be "left standing" or "rise up" to inherit everlasting life.

This abandonment by God, through the censure of those who spiritually 'killed'
His anointed sons of "Jacob", is the means by which the error of "Jacob" will be
atoned for first
by the "scare cry" from Zion, then the removal of apostates by His "blast".
For the reason that those guilty of apostasy do not heed God and so win no mercy
from their Maker. (27:11 Moffatt).
