SOME OBSERVATIONS ON A TALK ABOUT 'ENDURING TRIALS' GIVEN BY DR. SCHOLLER, A SO-CALLED JEHOVAH'S WITNESS.
I recently listened to a recorded talk given by a man who called himself Dr. Scholler. He made many references to certain ones, who as the Scriptures warned, had 'slipped in' to their congregations. He pointed out that according to their 'gift', many of these had progressed to responsible positions in the 'organisation of God' as spiritual overseers and elders, but had finally proved to be betrayers. Nevertheless, he advises that brothers should not leave, but remain loyal to the organisation.
He gave a few examples of those who had 'slipped in': Of a man who became baptised, and over several years became a full-time Pioneer, an Elder, a Circuit Overseer, and finally a District Overseer. But it was discovered that from the very beginning this man was a spy, who had been giving the names and addresses of Witnesses to the Communist Police. Another, a prominent overseer, was found guilty of seducing many women. For years after these disfellowshipments, thousands left this organisation. And why not, as these men had been appointed by other betrayers according to their apostate natures. What did our Lord warn us? This: "THEREFORE, WHEN YOU CATCH SIGHT OF THE DISGUSTING THING THAT CAUSES DESOLATION...STANDING IN A HOLY PLACE (let the reader use discernment,) THEN LET THOSE IN JUDEA BEGIN FLEEING TO THE MOUNTAINS. (From Matt 24:15,16. Rev 18:4). Wisely then, those who did flee this organisation, fled from its demonic 'elders', and did so to remain faithful to God.
Of course, and as expected of Dr. Scholler, he plausibly gave a specious and quite different reason for these events. He said that God's Holy Spirit allowed it! -- to test others. What blasphemous rubbish! This answer is often used by people like Scholler to have their apostasy accepted in the minds of gullible ones. But through such appointments of spirit bullies, by spirit bullies, these betrayers using Jehovah's Name "trample" upon and lord it over anointed persons and those of the "other sheep". But they are all destined to a condemnatory judgement. (Matt 24:48-51). Hiding behind preaching and Bible studies will not save them.
It was smooth talkers like Dr. Scholler & Co who recommended and appointed such evil 'elders'! They certainly are not appointed by means of Holy Spirit, as Dr. Scholler claimed, but by means of evil spirits acting through the composite "man of lawlessness". (2 Thess 2:3-12). This proves that only anointed persons are qualified to teach and appoint others to such spiritual responsibilities, and are the touchstones* of judgement. (See 1 John 2:26,27 and Matt 25:41-46). "In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short". (Matt 24:22). But not on account of liars. (Rev 3:9).
Dr. Scholler said that in some of their congregations 'brothers' even sat at opposite sides of the room in their meeting places because of the divisions brought about by such overseers. By personal experience and evidence, I can report that this particular religious sect is now completely infested with these "slipped in" ones that have proved false to our Heavenly Owner. (Jude Ch.4).
The reason that Dr. Scholler gave for some of the incorrect understandings of scriptures that for years they had erroneously proclaimed worldwide, was that their 'light' is becoming brighter, quoting Proverbs 4:18. But the truth is that their 'light' has become darker. Holy Spirit does not teach error. He neglected to mention all their "lying signs and portents"; unfulfilled predictions and false dates, and of lifting themselves above God, as their past leader Rutherford had done by verbally anointing a whole assembly himself! This organisation is still being built upon a weak foundation of strawlike leaders. (See the "Little Scroll" for a comprehensive list of this organization's apostasies).
