ONLY THE "MAN OF LAWLESSNESS" AMONG JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES HAS PROCLAIMED THAT "THE DAY OF THE LORD IS ALREADY HERE".

'Since 1873 we have been living in the seventh millennium... the lease of Gentile dominion. "The Times of the Gentiles" will expire with the year 1914; and... the advent of him whose right it is to take the dominion was due in 1874... 1874 is the exact date of Our Lord's return... Only twenty-four years of the harvest period remain, the close of which will witness the end of the reign of evil and the ushering in of the glorious Millennial day; and within this period the dark night of the world's greatest tribulation must find place.'

The above prediction by this founder "straw"-like member and his followers was intended to fulfil a vision of glory for him and his subordinates. Predicting that the "Times of the Gentiles" would end in 1914AD and that the Gentiles would no longer have evil authority over the nations has proven to be another "lying sign". (2 Thess 2:9). Gentile domination is as great today in the year 1996 as it ever was. No tricky verbosity from JW followers of Charles Taze Russell claiming to be unsealed 'elders' can explain away this "lying sign". The reason for quoting these words of Taze Russell is that:

(1)  The prophecy actually states that the Day of the Lord "cannot come before the
     final rebellion against God, when wickedness will be revealed in human
       form". (2:2,3 NEB).

(2) The Millennium day would be falsely proclaimed as "already here" by the
"man of lawlessness" before it is due to arrive! (2:2 NEB. 2:3 NWT).

(3) The revealing of them would have to take place before the "Day of the Lord" is here.

(4) This proves that "wickedness revealed in human form" among the spiritual "offspring" of
men like Taze Russell & Co are those today falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses!

JWs have fulfilled every facet of the prophesied "man of lawlessness". (2:3). No other religion has issued an "oracular utterance" or "pronouncement" or a "letter purporting to come from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord is already here" as though inspired of God, as they have. (2:2 NEB). That they publish "the Day of the Lord is already here" is proof that the "man of lawlessness" are still active among the governing body of JWs. (2:3).

Neither the governing body of JWs nor other false witnesses in JW congregations can deny the lying pronouncements they have uttered such as that mankind is now living in the Lord's Day of the seventh millennium. They are still publishing it worldwide and declaring it to people at their homes!

OTHER FALSE PRONOUNCEMENTS OF JWs:
(5)  'Gone the time when false religion kept us in its dismal prison. Truth was revived.
       The "Lord's day arrived."' (JW songbook: 'Sing Praises to Jehovah'. No.111. 1984).
      Proof that the "man of lawlessness" "rises in his pride against every god, every
      object of men's worship". (2:4 NEB).
(6)  'Since 1914, how remarkably events in this bloodstained earth have
       confirmed that year to be the start of the "day" of Jesus presence!'
       (JW book: 'Revelation Its Grand Climax At Hand!' Pg.24).

The "Day of the Lord" will arrive only when the powerful satanic work of the "man of lawlessness gets to be revealed" fully to the Lord's satisfaction. Since 1975 faithful anointed sons of God have been revealing them by the spirit of the Lord's mouth. (2:3,8). They are revealed as those falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses.

The JW book, 'Revelation Its Grand Climax Is At Hand' (1988) Pg.275) states: 'After the Kingdom's birth in 1914, the 24 elders proclaimed: "We thank you, Jehovah God… because you have taken you great power and begun ruling as king (Revelation 11:17)'. Well, if their proclamation had been true, the Kingdom of God by His Christ over mankind would be seen as a dramatic failure. The great majority of mankind lead far more wicked lives today, 82 years later, than since the inception of the JWs so-called 'Kingdom'. This is yet another of their "lying signs" published against the sacred Will of God.
