God's condemnation of the "man of lawlessness" will at first seem severe to those under it, especially at the imminent manifestation of power by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, when meditated upon (the evil works it required from each of these individuals to fulfil the "final rebellion" and "wickedness revealed in human form" to sin against the Holy Spirit of God), the anguish and hopelessness resulting from this true judgement will justifiably torment* those rebellious spirits even after death, regardless of the restraint their spirit wickedness and resulting delusion kept them under while alive. (2 Thess 2:3,4 NEB. *Read 2 Esdras 9:9-12. 8:56-62).
To actually raise themselves up in rebellion against God, required an operation of error out of their extreme pride and arrogance, along with an almost unimaginable presumptuous spirit of hatred working within them against the power of the Holy Spirit of God. Holy Spirit is active within and from the anointed temple class of God. Lawless ones usurped the responsibilities of these, and took our seats of authority in the congregations, thereby claiming to be gods. By removing the responsibilities of anointed ones and imposing their own mouthings of self-will, they claimed to have greater authority than the Holy Spirit. This was their "final rebellion". (2 Thess 2:3). True Spirit anointed persons do not pronounce predictions of their own, true or false. The organisation of JWs are guilty of many false predictions.
To be the apostate "man of lawlessness", they also had to pronounce that the "Day of the Lord is already here". (2 Thess 2:2 NEB). For more than 80 years now, JW 'elders' have pronounced the year 1914AD as the "Day of the Lord" being already here. Instead of pronouncing such "lying signs" and bullying anointed ones, they should have had a love of the last corrective disciplines from the Lord channelled through the last remaining anointed ones for the congregations during those years. Consequently, after each one of these lying pronouncements from men of "wickedness in human form", God fulfilled His own prophecy: He put them "under a delusion, which works upon them to believe the lie, so that they may all be brought to judgement, all who do not believe the truth but who make sinfulness their deliberate choice". (2 Thess 2:11,12 NEB).
Revealed simply: Those who did not believe and have a love of the corrective disciplines from the last of the "least ones" of Christ's brothers, took pleasure in unrighteousness by usurping them, and were placed under a spirit of delusion to believe more "lying signs and portents" uttered to them by those falsely claiming to be "Jews". (Rev 3:9). As congregational 'elders' of "wickedness in human form" over both flocks, they are now the first ones being exposed by the Spirit of the Lord's mouth through the "Little Scroll" of bitterness.
(Rev 10:8-11. 2 Thess 2:8).
Not only has the Lord always known each individual of the composite "man of lawlessness" in his congregations, but his anointed brothers have known them also. But the Lord wants all active lawless ones just before his manifestation of power to be revealed. One may ask why. The answer is that a part of the Lord's manifestation will be the execution of God's judgements upon all spirit lawless men first, commencing from His house, where lawless 'elders' are now seated. (1 Peter 4:17. Isaiah 11:3,4). To such congregations the Lord said this: "To the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me". (Matt 25:45).
