GOD IS "CREATING NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH".
(Isaiah 65:17).
"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. Former things shall no more be remembered nor shall they be called to mind. Rejoice and be filled with delight, you boundless realms which I create; for I create Jerusalem to be a delight and her people a joy." (Isaiah 65:17,18 NEB).
"I CALLED AND YOU DID NOT ANSWER, I SPOKE AND YOU DID NOT LISTEN" (From Isaiah 65:12).
To open up one's mind to 'see' clearly and to spiritually grow in the understandings of the written messages from God, one of course needs first to be able to understand the language of God that for the most part is expressed symbolically. To be able to do this, one must first learn how to "listen". Let us begin by understanding fully what God means by using the word "listen", and particularly in reference to its use in verse 12 of Isaiah chapter 65, which says: "I spoke and you did not listen; and you did what was wrong in My eyes and you chose what was against My Will." (NEB). The result of not listening, is the entrenched wickedness today among all nations. In fact, the following verses describe the fate of both the obedient and those who do not "listen"!
Listening does not mean just to hear audibly, but means to acquire the sense in one's spirit of the understandings of His Will, and to carry them out in our lives as we come to know them. Then it is that God takes us in as sons and daughters. (2 Cor 6:14-18 NWT). We then begin to understand the deep things of God. (1 Cor 2:10 NWT).
The "new heavens" referred to in verse 17 of Isaiah chapter 65 are spirit heavens. The "new earth" is the spirit life to be lived while existing in one's flesh on earth, within the spirits of both men and women while living on earth, to "grow" (be created in spirit) toward inheriting everlasting life in a new spirit body. (1 Cor 15:38-44). Our spirit conditioning takes place while we live in the flesh. It is this progressive spirit creativity (of many living by spirit on earth) that God has been creating, and is referred to as the "new earth". We will become a copy of heavenly "Jerusalem" on earth, thereafter to live life in the "boundless realms" of God. (Isaiah 65:18). While having said this, I must add that our Lord also says that when wickedness is "full grown" (practiced as a rule of conduct in all its entirety), He will gradually end this system of things (this "Esau" age) and begin the new "Jacob" age. (See 2 Esdras 6:9 NEB).
This will mean that instead of people's appreciations being selfishly directed toward material things as their foremost consideration, their spirits will instead be directed toward spirit living as a foremost need in their lives; in contrast to following the leadings of wickedness from other mere men and women.
It is written that all this will begin when the seven angers of God have come to a finish. (Rev 16:17). It is of great importance and interest to realise that our God is now currently expressing His last anger "upon the air". (Rev 16:17). Therefore in point of time and the last fulfilments, we are on the threshold of the "new earth". The final ones now being gathered in (since the "great earthquake" of Revelation 11:13* that took place in Mexico, "the great city") are gathered by means of all the "fearful sights" on earth (Luke 21:11), initiated into action in their giving of glory to God through their fear.
