(Cont. from Page 11/4/91). THE MEANING
OF: The expression "they trimmed their lamps" means that at the time of entry into the "marriage feast" in the heavenly Kingdom of our Lord the five prudent "virgins" were found to be in the right spirit condition for the future Kingdom work to be assigned to them. (25:7 NEB). Their dispositions will have been "trimmed" according to the Lord's spiritual requirements made manifest by the "oil" issued to them by Holy Spirit before his delay in coming. To "sleep" during the delay before the arrival of the "bridegroom" indicates a long period without heavenly Spirit communications for either the prudent or the foolish "virgins". (25:5). Heavenly communications of God were given only to those "virgins" who had not spiritually defiled themselves with sectarian religions and their false teachings. (Rev 14:4,5). His Spirit communications taught and created the spirit of anointed ones and their watchfulness. The last instructive "oil" given to prudent ones was the extra "flasks of oil". (25:4 NEB). Foolish "virgins" were those who "beat" their "fellow slaves" during the "eleventh hour" when the "bridegroom" delayed his arrival. (24:48-51. 20:6,7). It should be noted that at the time for entry into the "marriage feast", half of the "virgins" are refused entry because they refused the Spirit "oil" when it was issued. Corrective reproofs and denunciations against antichrist behaviour in The Christ's congregations cannot be construed as beating one's "fellow slaves", as they are heavenly warnings intended to save foolish ones from further sinning. These denunciations were to reveal the "evil slave" of Matthew 24:48-51. (See Subject Index: "Disgusting Thing"). The light required to spiritually 'see' one's way into the "marriage feast", is by means of the symbolic "oil", which includes the contents of the "Little Scroll" and the "rod" of discipline with which our Lord will shepherd all the nations. (Rev 10:8-11. 2:26,27). Only the "discreet slave" giving their "domestics" spiritual "food" at the proper time when their master arrives, will be appointed by him over all his belongings. (24:45-47). At the arrival of the "bridegroom", foolish "virgins" are unprepared for his inspection; but prudent "virgins" who "trim their lamps" are prepared for his arrival, as they have been spiritually 'feeding' their "domestics" and building up their faith. This is an essential part of 'trimming' one's "lamp". The order in which the "oil" was issued is called the "Little Scroll". Now is not a time for giving spiritual assistance to foolish "virgins", especially since they have been 'beating' their "fellow slaves" and are about to be given their portion with the hypocrites. The "bride", who weds the "bridegroom" (The Christ Michael), is made up of 144,000 sealed ones from the earth. (Rev 19:7,8. 7:4-8). The five prudent "virgins" who gain entry into the heavenly "marriage feast" are the last sealed anointed ones resurrected to join their anointed brothers to begin the administration of the Kingdom of God by His Christ as heavenly Kingdom priests. (Rev 5:9,10).
