A QUOTATION FROM 2 ESDRAS 13:22-24 (NEB):
"As for your question about those who survive, this is the answer: the very person from whom the danger will then come will protect in danger those who have works and fidelity laid up to their credit with the Most High. You may be assured that those who survive are more highly blessed that those who die."

Fidelity is described as the quality of being faithful, of loyalty to a person or party etc, strict conformity to truth or fact, veracity, exact correspondence.

ONE'S LOYAL SPIRIT ADHERENCE TO SPIRIT CREATIVITY, WHILE IN THE FLESH.
Regarding this one very important spirit quality of fidelity, there are so many people calling themselves Christians today, but who sadly are such by name only. They exercise only faithfulness to ignorance. By this I mean that they teach and hold on to understandings that are different from those that the Holy Word teaches. They are without accurate knowledge of the Scriptures as a whole, and lack personal adherence to the authority of its spirit principles. Therefore their spirits are not being formed, they have not put on The Christ; they are not living within the spirit creative ways of God that lead toward immortality. In His Way (by Spirit) God refers to certain ones whom He has "formed". (Isaiah 44:21. 43:21). Meaning, that although man was first created perfect in the flesh, he was not at the same time created perfect in his spirit. Spirit creativity is the forming of a man's spirit in subjection to the Will of God, and is a development by God's power in the lives of obedient ones; progressively forming us into men, manifesting ourselves as glories of God.

By contrast, there is blind ignorance; stubborn adherence to unbeneficial ritualistic observances, and a great deal of worthless self-sacrificing measures being made in the name of 'Christian faith', which still continues among those who are perishing. Only through the Spirit authority (anointing) that God has given to "body" members of His First Christ, Jesus, are His instructive communications channelled through other such Spirit anointed ones --teachings for our observance-- which create one's spirit growth, and are of the ultimate importance in acquiring accurate knowledge and salvation.

Being actively loyal to the spirit principles we have from our Heavenly Father, and holding firm to them with good fidelity through periods of testing, is the requirement for man, to be in line for immortality in the everlasting paradise of God. This is being "formed" in spirit. Men who worship in deed and truth, and men who worship in error, are both manifesting their own spirit dispositions, and will stand or fall in the judgement, and as regards the everlasting (spirit) life to come.

STORING UP WORKS OF FIDELITY.
How can we have these works of fidelity laid up to our credit with the Most High, so that we are protected from the dangers that are now being sent by our Lord? Well, as the qualities that need to be stored up with God are first spiritual, surely the first thing we need to find out is what these works are and how to be loyal to them. Organised study and meditation on the Holy Word from God along with prayerful supplications to search out the Will of God, and baring one's inner feelings to self-scrutiny while doing so, is the threshold of understanding. These works must be loyal works, so that they become an instinctive part of one's very nature. This takes time and personal effort, acquiring accurate knowledge of these things. Only then does inner peace come, and finally the everlasting reward that God guarantees. So begin.
