"AND HE WILL INTEND TO CHANGE TIMES AND LAW, AND THEY WILL BE GIVEN INTO HIS HAND FOR A TIME, AND TIMES AND HALF A TIME". (From Daniel 7:25 NWT).

There is no indication in the inspired book of Daniel that gives prophetic meaning to "seven times" (NWT) or "years" (Moffatt) as meaning a "day for a year" as quoted from Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6. (See JW book: 'True Peace and Security'. Pg.76). The fulfilment of these "years" in Daniel 4:25,16 was in connection with King Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom only, and was a period of Divine debasement of this king only. Nebuchadnezzar and his earthly kingdom, symbolised by a "tree" in a dream he had, was "sure" to him after he understood that the Most High Himself was the One ruling over mankind. (Daniel Ch.4)

This period of seven years was changed as to its inspired meaning by apostates "standing in a holy place" with the intention of changing the "times and law" of God. This is one of the means by which apostates ruling in Christ's congregations with satanic authority harass continually the holy ones given into satan's hand for a time, times and half a time. (Dan 7:25).

If it were true that Christ began ruling mankind in 1914 CE, as JWs proclaim, how could the "sanctuary" class (the holy ones) also be given into the hand of satan and his people on earth that are standing in the holy place today? Unquestionably, a "time" is scripturally known as one year or 360 days (a Jewish year). In the book of Daniel it says that "all these things will come to their finish" and be made known only in the "time" of the end; which therefore includes what is written in Daniel 7:25-27, that satan's rulership (which is still in evidence worldwide) will be destroyed totally. All kingdoms under the heavens will then be given to the holy ones, (which includes The Christ), and all rulerships will serve and obey even them. The conquest that Jesus goes forth to complete in Revelation chapter 6 is for the sealing of the members of the coming Kingship over earth as well as heaven. (Rev 6:2,11. 5:10).

The sacred holy oil was used under Divine direction upon those under the old covenant that were to serve as priests. It was a 'shadow' of the reality today, of anointing by Holy Spirit those under the "new covenant". (Heb 9:15. See Num 4:16-20 for the past 'shadow' of the reality).

In the twisted application of Ezra 3:8 by JWs today we see another serious offence against God: Namely, the changing of His law by those knowingly using scriptures which under Moses were only a 'shadow' and not the fulfilment of its heavenly spiritual reality today. Jehovah God commanded Moses to pour sacred holy oil upon Aaron and appointed him and his sons (the Levites) under the "old covenant" to carry out all holy services connected with the tabernacle. (See Num Ch.4 and Ezra 3:8). The reality today is described by the apostle John: The anointing that sons of God receive by Holy Spirit is what teaches them. (1 John 2:27). It commissions and qualifies them for the Christian ministry of the "new covenant". (2 Cor 3:5,6. 5:5. Eph 1:13. 1 Peter 2:4,5). Anointed elders today are underpriests of Christ Jesus, the high priest of Jehovah. (1 Peter 2:9).

"Let its heart be changed from that of mankind, and let the heart of a beast be given to it, and let seven times pass over it".

The symbolic beasts representing world powers were not bulls or an eagle (Dan 4:25,33), but a "ram" and a "goat". (Dan 8:1-8).

The prophecy does not say there would be "food for all" as in the JW book 'True Peace and Security' pg.75, but says, "there was food for all". (Dan 4:21).
