(Cont. from Page 839) 843. (Daniel 11:45): In the literal fulfilment, the "king of the North" will plant his palatial tents of authority in a location between the grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration, where Jehovah's first tabernacle was set up. Thus, in the spiritual fulfilment, and in all parts of the earth at the same time, those that have entered into the spiritual "land" of "Israel", into Jehovah's congregations under Christ, and have set up similar developments with satan's help (with his recognition), will also come to their end in all their disgusting places now causing their own desolation. In this way, he (and they) will come all the way to his (and their) end. (Dan 12:1-13) : Scripturally, it is during these desolating developments that Michael (Christ's heavenly name) will stand up (to rule), and not before then; during the time that satan and his people have begun to come all the way to his (and their) end. This in itself proves Christ's invisible rule over mankind (Eph 1:9,10) had not yet begun in 1914 as erroneously proclaimed by the sect calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. As for the United Nations organization, they have not caused any desolation in the spiritual "land" of "Israel" whatsoever. However, Michael has been riding forth with different "woes" while completing the gathering of those he will have written down in the book of life. 1,335 days minus 1,290 days = 45 days (see verse 12 below). This prophesied period of 45 days is a "time of distress" for the anointed sons of spiritual "Israel" during which these spiritual "sons of your (Daniel's) people" escape.(V.3,4): Those whom God will awaken spiritually to life will continue indefinitely in their new life-giving state of obedience to God. But those of the "foreign god" will wake to everlasting shameful reproaches and abhorrence, having sinned against God's Holy Spirit by rejecting it. Those with "insight" will enlighten many by God's Word, bringing them to righteousness. This will take place after the "time of the end" when Daniel's secret is made known, and all deceptive teachings of men in their wickedness are exposed. The true teachings of righteousness will shine forever with clarity. (V.5-7): One of the "two others" asks: "How long will it be to the end of the wonderful things?" (their completion). Only Michael (Jesus Christ) could swear by Jehovah in answer, that it would be "three years and half a year". (Moffatt). But how could there be a "dashing of the power of the holy people to pieces?" (NWT). Their power in the "time of the end" can only be their holy service to God (spirit "sacrifices") among the people. It was the holy power of anointed underpriests to reconcile people to God that was "dashed to pieces". (V.8-13): By saying: "O my Lord, what will be the final part of these things?" Daniel was really asking: 'What is to be the last phase before the end of these things?' "These things" will not come to their finish until the power of the holy people that was dashed to pieces has been restored to the nation of spiritual "Israel". From verse 10 to the end of verse 12 is that last phase. Of special interest are the time periods given. After the "constant feature" is removed, and the placing of the "disgusting thing causing desolation" has been completed in the congregations, 1,290 days will have elapsed before one enters into a period of special significance. For while the 45 days leading to the end of the 1,335 days is one of great distress for anointed sons of spiritual "Israel" to endure, it is written: "Because you kept the word about my endurance, I will also keep you from the hour of test, which is to come upon the whole inhabited earth, to put a test upon those dwelling on the earth". (Rev 3:10). (Cont. on Page 844). 5/3/78. |
