(Cont. from Page 838). 839. (V.39-43 cont.) : The scriptural significance of the places of Egypt, Moab, Ammon, Edom, Libya and Ethiopia, is what these places and people represent symbolically. In the past, the people in these areas have opposed the Will of God and His purpose in connection with His own people within literal and against His spiritual "Israel". In the spiritual fulfilment today they represent types of people opposing God (within the realms of this type of "king of the North"), residing throughout the earth in satan's people. But what are the reports that disturb satan from the sunrising (east) and the north, from the ranks of his people? They are reports of the existence of the remaining anointed Kingdom heirs still on earth, despite satan's work through the "foreign god" of "Ahab" 'elders' to enter the spiritual holy "land" of Decoration to find and oust these remaining ones. It is the faithfulness of those still obeying the commandments of God that causes satan's great rage, followed by his devoting of many to destruction in his attempts to find them. This is similar to the case of King Herod, who to find the "seed" of the Kingdom, Jesus, had all sons from two years of age and under destroyed. (Matt 2:16). In like manner, to delay his own abyssing and torment, satan will now try to stop the last remaining anointed ones being gathered.Jehovah will now cause confusion within satan's own ranks. In desperation, satan's "Ahab" 'elders' have by this time planted their authority ("palatial tents") between the sea (of mankind) and the holy mountain of Decoration (anointed ones); cutting holy ones off from any further spirit activity in their earthly Kingdom work, and bringing forth the wrath of God in the time appointed for satan's end. Then "Ahab"-type 'elders' will turn against each other in the vain hope that they may find hiding among them God's anointed sons, thus causing their own destruction. But by this time, the true and faithful Kingdom heirs, along with the faithful "other sheep", will have escaped from satan's congregations of "Babylon the great" and are completely free of "her". Now we are as if hiding in "caves". (1 Kings 18:3,4). Jehovah's final 'revealings' are an unusual work (Isaiah Ch.28 & 29), cutting off the planned way out for those treacherous at heart (Prov 2:21,22). The "Way" is known only to those with insight. No wicked ones at all will understand. (Dan 12:10). That is why to them Christ's coming will be "like a thief". These "children" of satan have been made to feel secure because satan has made "abound with glory" all those that have "given him recognition". (Dan 11:39). But while the wicked are eagerly awaiting the fulfilment of these prophecies, they are already taking place! "Therefore prophesy, O son of man, and you
must say to Gog, 'This is what the Lord Jehovah has said: "Will it not be in
that day when My people Israel are dwelling in security that you will know [it]?
... And you will be bound to come up against My people
Israel, like clouds to cover the land. In the final part of the days it will
occur, and I shall certainly bring you against My land, for the purpose that the
nations may know Me when I sanctify Myself in you before their eyes, O Gog'
… 'And it must occur in that day, in the day when Gog
comes in upon the soil of Israel,' is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord
Jehovah, 'that My rage will come up into My nose. And in My ardour, in the fire
of My fury, I shall have to speak. Surely in that day a great quaking
