"Look! There is a day coming, belonging to Jehovah, and the spoil of you will certainly be apportioned out in the midst of you. And I shall certainly gather all the nations against Jerusalem for the war". (From Zech 14:1,2 NWT).

To help gain the true understanding of Zechariah 14:1,2 I have posed for the readers this question for consideration: Why would God "gather all the nations against Jerusalem for the war" and then punish those nations with a scourge for their warring? To understand the fulfilment of the above scripture, it is necessary to understand that this "Jerusalem" is the entire "congregation of the firstborn who have been enrolled in the heavens." (Heb 12:22,23). The warring nations are Gentiles, not spiritual "Jews", that have been progressively working individually, and in group opposition, against heavenly "Jerusalem" while in their midst on earth. Wherever anointed congregation member(s) of the firstborn gathered to worship and observe the commandments of God, their spirit enemies gathered. While these congregation members gathered, they did not consent to their so-called 'christian' enemies changing the "times and law of God". (Daniel 7:25. See Pages 777-863B).

But how could the "spoil of you" be "apportioned out in the midst of you"? Those referred to as "you", are the heavenly members. And what is the "spoil"? The "spoil" is the spiritual wealth from all the nations; those who have come in as believers in The Christ. "This is what Jehovah of armies has said: 'It will be in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold, yes, they will actually take hold of the skirt of a man who is a Jew, saying: "We will go with you people, for we have heard that God is with you people"'". (Zech 8:23). So the "spoil" are followers who took hold of the "skirt" of a "Jew" (their righteous teachings) and were as sacrifices offered up to God by those underpriests substituting for The Christ (of heavenly "Jerusalem") through their accepted truthful teachings about God. But when the "City" was captured, this "wealth" --the already established authority in these places of worship-- was "apportioned out" to non-members. This was done by some of its own members apostatising themselves. The city was "captured". Only in this way could the "spoil of you be apportioned out in the midst of you", and this has proven to be the case.

The many published tracts and books of the sect of JWs, since their "capture" of the "City", give all the details of this, their 'new arrangement', and the date of their shifting (handing over) of the responsibilities that God gave to His anointed sons in all of The Christ's congregations. (Rev 11:12. Dan 7:25). Those apportioned a share in these spoils, were given the title of 'older man' or 'elder'. For their 'smooth sayings' (teachings) and for the military-type service that they spiritually carried out, opportunities of these "shares" (appointments) to others were offered --for self-glorification-- to draw away disciples after themselves. To do this they all had to go along with the changing of the "times and law of God. They also "raped" or brought the "daughter of womankind" to ruin. (Dan 11:17). Half of the faithful anointed members of "Jerusalem" were removed, shifted by these lawless ones, and went into exile. But these "will not be cut off from the city". The other half carry on this "disgusting thing" of Matthew 24:15, and are not written in the Lamb's scroll of life. (Rev 21:27).

THE SCOURGE. (Of Zech 14:12,13).
Concerning those who spiritually did military service against "Jerusalem", against its members on earth, it says: "There will be a rotting away of one's flesh, while one is standing upon one's feet; and one's very eyes will rot away in their sockets, and one's very tongue will rot away in one's mouth". In fulfilment, they are now rotting in spirit during Jehovah's Day of conducting His legal case against them: Their "fattiness", resulting from their hurtful schemes and bad counselling and of changing the times and law of God, are now being revealed. (James 5:1-6). They are rotting spiritually while standing in their so-called authority.
