Women with unbelieving husbands. Addressed to JW congregations.

ARE YOU STILL LIKE SHEEP GOING ASTRAY?
(1 Peter 2:25 to 3:1-6).

HOLY WOMEN.
The most important teaching to be gleaned from God's Word concerning the woman Sarah to benefit all women today is that she was blessed by Jehovah God. (Gen 17:16). What kind of women were those referred to as holy women? The kind that would have a deep respect for, and be in subjection to, their husbands as their "lord". They would have as their adornment a quiet and mild spirit. But while the scripture of 1 Peter 3:1-6 is addressed to all Sarah's "children" and is the example given for all women to follow, it does not include the bad examples of those falsely claiming to be holy women.

YOUR WOMEN LIKE TO DISCIPLINE
GOD'S GLORY, EVEN HUSBANDS
. (1 Cor 11:8,9).
Is it because you are finding Jehovah's personal disciplines and directions for you with regard to your husbands too difficult or unacceptable? Some say their husbands will not take on their proper responsibilities, or that they behave badly towards their wives. Others say some women even promote bad behaviour from their husbands. Whatever, the Creator of man knows how unbelieving husbands can be won over to Him. Christ conveyed to women through the apostle Peter how this should be done: "In like manner, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient to the Word, (the Word about our Lord Jesus) they may be won without a word through the conduct of their wives" (not by teaching him God's Word) but, "because of having been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect". (1 Peter 3:1,2). There are spiritually qualified men to teach them the Word of God.

When a woman teaches God's Word, she is exercising authority over men. This is not "chaste conduct", because authority to teach is given only to men. A woman calling her husband "lord" in her heart would not teach her husband. And you women who do teach are not inciting to love and fine works. (Heb 10:24). Teaching is the God-given authority given only to certain men, gathering together to be taught through them His love and His disciplines from His Word, which sanctifies. (Titus 1:1. 2:15) (1 Tim 2:11-15.  3:1-7). But you women teach his disciplines equally with men!  So in what way are you calling him (your husbands) "lord", even in your hearts?  Our Lord God does not bless such disobedience.

WHAT DO THE FACTS SHOW?
Do they show that you are being blessed by Jehovah (having 'head' knowledge is not blessings), when such a considerable amount of spirit bullying is evident and has been personally experienced by an anointed son of God from many of your women? They certainly were not the examples of holy women.

Today, the number of women attending congregation meetings of JWs without their husbands is disproportionately high. Many women believe they are helping their unbelieving husbands to be obedient to the truth about our Lord in order they become practicing Christians. They adopt various superficial means to this end, but usually do little within themselves. They encourage their husbands to attend meetings and associate with other families whom they believe are living Christian lives, and may even invite "brothers" to their homes in the hope that one will suit him. Depending on these means alone usually reveals that the barrier is in his own home, within his wife.

There are women who have never visited a JW kingdom hall, but who have a deep respect for their husbands and who are chaste and good workers at home, with a quiet and mild spirit. But like Sarah they have not received all the teachings of our Lord and his apostles, or the laws given through Moses (as many as you have). However, these women have advanced ahead of you due to their gentle and loving qualities of obedience, which are of great value in the eyes of our God. (1 Peter 3:4). Until you return "in like manner" to the shepherd and overseer of your souls our Lord Jesus, and discontinue your hard‑hearted disobedience to the aforementioned, you are still (like) sheep, but going astray.
