(Cont. from Page 814). 815. As ministers of the "new covenant" only anointed men are appointed for ministerial work in Jehovah's congregations to teach and shepherd His people. The reason for this is quite clear: Jehovah gathers His people, those called, by His Holy Spirit (Zech 4:6), and anoints His ministers with a portion of His Spirit, which teaches them. (1 John 2:20,27). But members of the "other sheep", "Jehonadabs", are those calling upon His Name. Such ones are not taught directly within their spirit by Jehovah's Spirit according to an anointing. The "other sheep" are those who take hold of the "skirt" (righteous acts and teachings) of those that are spiritual "Jews" by Spirit, and are taught by them the true Word from God. (Zech 8:23). It does not say anywhere in His holy Word that a "Jew" would take hold of the skirt of men who act in the place of "Jews". (Rev 3:9). Further it says to anointed ones: "And you have an anointing from the Holy One; all of you have knowledge. And as for you, the anointing that you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be teaching you; but, as the anointing from Him is teaching you about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, remain in union with Him." (1 John 2:20,27). 'Anyone' means other individuals, whether it is another spiritual "Jew", or sons of Jehonadab. Nor as some believe, are they taught from what passed from one "Jew" through a "Jehonadab" to another "Jew", as the sect of JWs teach. However, bringing to notice any such disobedience "as to the Lord" is not teaching, it is exhorting. (Titus 2:15). Not to misunderstand the truth in this regard, it is Jehovah's Spirit remaining in them that teaches them, and not any individual person. His Spirit separates and frees anointed ones from erroneous teachings. In this way the Spirit teaches, when the anointed one is obedient to its leading. (1 John 2:27. Ephesians 4:16,14). EACH RESPECTIVE MEMBER IN DUE MEASURE,
OR: WITH THEIR TENTH PARTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS (Malachi 3:8-10. Ephesians 4:16) (Cont. on Page 816). 11/7/77. |
