Jehovah's directions are His disciplines for life, which He refers to as "bread" for the life of freedom. By eating of this "bread" we are progressively being released from those things that at present enslave us. If His ambassadors (anointed underpriests) substituting for Christ His high priest were to water down or side-step some of His life-giving teachings, it is the same as them saying, "Look! What a weariness!" Further Jehovah says, "…you have caused a sniffing at it", refusing to teach it (Mal 1:13); making their "gifts" upon His altar unclean. For it says, "…the lips of a priest are the ones that should keep knowledge and the law is what people should seek from his mouth". (Mal 2:7).

By their own examples and by speaking it out fearlessly, underpriests of God should teach God's Word accurately. The people should listen, obey it, and not deceive themselves with false reasoning. (James 1:22). Further, Jehovah's Word through the prophet Malachi is not addressed to hypocritical Christendom. It is directed to spiritual "Israel" today, to 'sons of Levi' His priests (those from the tents of "Jacob") to whom Jehovah has now sent His prophet Elijah before His great and fear-inspiring day. (Mal 4:5).

WHY, AND IN WHAT WAY, ARE THEY ROBBING GOD
IN THE "TENTH PARTS" AND IN THE "CONTRIBUTIONS"?
The "tenth parts" and the "contributions" are but 'shadows' of the reality, gleaned from events of the past recorded in the Bible, and should now be viewed in a spiritual way to benefit us. The priests of ancient times used to be provided for from the tenth parts and the contributions, and were kept free from secular work in order to be able to carry out all their priestly duties. So why would Jehovah say through Malachi to these priests that they are robbing Him "in the tenth parts and in the contributions"? (Mal 3:6‑10). It is because as underpriests of Jehovah some were then, and are now, failing to fulfil their priestly responsibilities toward the people. They are robbing Jehovah in the "tenth parts" (His disciplines), acting treacherously; not obediently teaching all of Jehovah's provisions, but holding back. And in side‑stepping, adding to, or watering down His directions, they are polluting His "bread", and thus robbing Jehovah.

How are underpriests doing this today, and why would Jehovah send Elijah now? Because the 'governing body' of JWs claiming to act as His underpriests with the responsibility of feeding both "flocks" have spiritually been committing "adultery" with "Ahabs" and their "Jezebel" wives (her "children" today) just as Israelites did in Elijah's day. "They have taken possession of the daughter of a foreign god as a bride". (Mal 2:11). "Sacrificing a ruined one to Jehovah". (Mal 1:14).

The "foreign god" are unsealed so-called 'elders' of the "Ahab" class. The "daughter" are the rebellious offspring of "Ahab" and "Jezebel" types (of their 'marriage'). Those anointed slaves that have been misled and taken possession of this "daughter" (are involved in this disobedience with the "Ahab" and "Jezebel" class) and are therefore "as a bride" to this foreign god. They have adulterated themselves instead of being loyal anointed members of the "bride" of Christ. Only anointed ones faithful to the "bridegroom" Jesus and his brothers are as a "bride of Christ". Are you now awake to God's Spirit? (Mal 2:12). Then: "Why is it that [you] deal treacherously with one another, in profaning the covenant of [your] forefathers"? (Mal 2:10).
