(Dates correct only if the year of wages paid was 1999. Then each of the 11 'hours' would be 179 years).

There is no mention of complaints or murmuring against the third, sixth, or ninth hour workers. The intense persecution ("burning heat") that was claimed to have been experienced has been expressed at length in the JW book entitled: 'Then is Finished the Mystery of God'. The above illustration is to be understood this way:

During any point in time within the Lord's "day", there would be brothers who had worked on earth within His theocratic organization (His "vineyard") through many more years, and persecution, than the more recently gathered ones. Any superior attitude they may convey from their hearts over their late-hired brothers would be apparent by their failure to help cultivate these Spirit anointed brothers to readjust them for ministerial work in Christ's congregations. (Eph 4:11,12). The workers are in total 144,000, with a number still remaining and still being gathered to Jehovah at this time.

Jehovah said: "Here I am against the shepherds, and I shall certainly ask back My sheep from their hand and make them cease from feeding My sheep". (Ezek 34:7-10). Jehovah was here referring to "My" shepherds. And as the clergy have never truly been Jehovah's shepherds, Jehovah is here referring to those anointed ones that were appointed but refused to shepherd His "sheep". (John 10:16. Read also Acts 20:20).
