(Cont. from Page 779). 780. THAT "WOMAN" IS NOW IDENTIFIED. (7) Jehovah has said He will "judge between a plump sheep and a lean sheep, for the reason that with flank and with shoulder you kept pushing and with your horns you kept shoving all the sickened ones until you had scattered them to the outside". (Ezek 34:20,21). The "sheep" mentioned are the "little flock". (Luke 12:32). The "rams" and the "goats" are those who mistreat them. But how are the plump "sheep" scattering sickened ones to the outside of their pasturage?A warning Jesus gave to the seven angels today, of those who would sicken and scatter Jesus' slaves, can be found in Revelation 2:19-23. They are referred to as that "woman" Jezebel, who existed over a thousand years previously, but the warning was given in advance of it happening. The Revelation to John about this "woman" was to happen in the Lord's day. (2 Thess 1:7-10) (Rev 1:10). Further to her identification, this composite "woman" calls herself a prophetess, of whom Jesus said, "I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her fornication". (Rev 2:21). Jesus' slaves of today do have deeds of service more than those formerly, yet they tolerate this "woman" Jezebel. Why? Because they have been misled by her feminine seductive reasoning, salving their consciences. She also deliberately ignores the Lord's commandment -- Christ's headship arrangement and congregational directions given to the apostle Paul. (1 Cor 14:34-37). Thus fulfilling verse 20 of Revelation chapter 2, she teaches. Teaching is an allowance given only to men, and all scriptures are inspired of God for the purpose of teaching. (2 Tim 3:16). The unscrupulous and shameless Jezebel even signed and sealed letters in the name of her husband, and went further by ordering older men to arrange for good-for-nothing men to falsely accuse a man of God, and then to kill him to gain his inheritance. This type of "woman" exists today, is tolerated, and scatters "sheep" by promoting their own husbands --seemingly of the "other sheep"-- as overseers.
But this is the God-given work of the remaining ones of the "little flock": To teach and minister to those belonging to both flocks. (1 Peter 5:1-4)
(7a) How does Revelation 18:4 and Ezekiel 34:20,21 foretell that the lean "sheep"would be scattered by their brothers --the plump "sheep"-- to the outside of the flock of God?
(7b) Has or will the symbolic "woman" identified repent, and what in a spiritual way (Cont. on Page 781). 14/12/76. |
