THE SECT OF JEHOVAH' S WITNESSES HAS QUESTION: AS WOMEN ARE NOT ALLOWED AUTHORITY OVER MEN ATALL, ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF OUR LORD, FROM WHAT AUTHORITATIVE SOURCE DO THEIR WOMEN EXERCISE THEIR AUTHORITY? "It is my desire, therefore, that everywhere prayers be said by the men of the congregation, who shall lift up their hands with a pure intention, excluding angry or quarrelsome thoughts. Women again must dress in becoming manner, modestly and soberly, not with elaborate hair-styles, not decked out with gold or pearls, or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, as befits women who claim to be religious.
A woman must be a learner, listening quietly and with due submission.
I do not permit a woman to be a teacher, nor must woman domineer over a man; she should be quiet". For Adam was created first, and Eve afterwards; and it was not Adam who was deceived; it was the woman who, yielding to deception, fell into sin. Yet she will be saved through motherhood -- if only women continue in faith, love, and holiness, with a sober mind". "Let a woman learn in silence with full submissiveness. For walking in the counsels of "Ahab"-types (their own 'reaped' husbands today, and those of others), the following scripture and related fulfilments apply to them: "You for your part, will eat and not get satisfied, and your emptiness will be in the midst of you. And you will remove things but you will not carry them safely away; and whatever you would carry away safely, I shall give to the sword itself… to the end that I may make you an object of astonishment and her inhabitants something to be whistled at; and the reproach of peoples you men will bear." (From Micah 6:13-16 NWT). "You, for your part, will sow seed, but you will not reap" (V.15). This "sowing" today is by their calling from house to house with rebellious authority and erroneous teachings over men and their families, against the Word of our Lord that he gave to the apostle Paul by Holy Spirit. (See the above scriptures). Their 'reaping', is the authoritative influence they seek over those they 'reap' (gathering men's submissiveness to their rebellion).
